This is my first time removing something like this so I have no idea how to take this off. Selling to a forum member so would like to take it off nice and smooth.

so what is the technique in removing the spherical bearing from the rod? It is probably simple but I am dumbfounded at this moment since just removed two engines and I am pretty tired.Thanks in advance.

Power tools are the easiest way. But if you don't have any: take a towel, wrap it around the rod, and hold it w/ a pair of vice grips.

Will, it is the spherical bearing part of the GC C/C plates .. I have the top part removed that is why you probably do not recognize it...

Do NOT clamp the shaft with a pair of vice grips. Too easy to render the damper worthless.

Heres my method:
grab the shaft with your big ass channel locks. But dont grab the shaft directly, that will scratch it. Instead, find an old engine belt, like for an alternator or power steering or something. Cut a couple of short sections and tape/glue/adhere them to the jaws of your big ass channel locks so that when you clamp down on the shaft, it wont scratch because the rubber belt is protecting it. Think of it like your girlfriend using her teeth during....umm well, you get the point.

well its too late, I already did but I will be changing my suspension a couple of months since my GABs are 6 years old!:D but compression's method seems great too bad I did not think of it since I was too tired to really think.

Will, I sold it for 250 shipped and it cane with the shigspeed brackets. I have some stillen plates...PM me if ur interested...
