My headlamp lenses are finely pitted, so much so that the headlamps looks like they have hard water stains on them even when they're clean.

Has anyone buffed out their pits on their lenses? I just tried jewelers rouge (red) and a buffing wheel and didn't make a dent.

Does there exist a heavier grinding paste I could use on the headlamp lens and then a finer grade to polish them clean and clear?

Dude I just cleaned mine and they still look very dull.
I am thinking of getting new lenses.
Maybe I can find a old 91-93 with some nice looking head light lenses.
Anyone know if you can just get the lense?

I've had some success with some Plastic cleaner and Plastic polish made by 3M. I found it at an auto body shop. It gets the yellowness out, but the pits remain.

SR20DETUTAH.

My lenses are glass. Are yours plastic?

I can't see how those items you mentions would do anything for my glass lenses (though they are yellowish in the thick sections).

One of my coworkers throws out used diamond lapping slurry. Its pretty fine stuff so I don't know how slow it'll cut.

Keep you all posted.

Yea mine are plastic (B14) guess I never paid enough attention to the classic's headlamps.

The diamond lapping slurry might work. interesting idea
