Hi all, im another one of those RHD eggs from down under. I have a question regarding mounting a sub box in the boot of my NX.
I am wanting to use the bolts in the boot that are located just in front of the spare tyre to secure my sub box, so it doesnt slide around. I am wondering if it is possible just to use these screws, or should I drill new screws, if possible, considering I dont plan on drilling into the fuel tank :).
What have other people done to mount sub boxes in the boots of their NX's?
i would just use some velcrow strips on the bottem of the box that sould hold it good. and its cheep.

You'd be better off making a "stealth" enclosure so people won't see it.

As in, fibreglassing the tyre well? I dont think I could do without a spare tyre.
People cant see my enclosure anyway, it is blocked by the parcel tray.

I haven't had a spare tire in my NX sent I bought it 4 years ago.

To secure my box, I used some of those clips from an old life jacket, bolted one side through the floor, and the other to the box. It is really secure, and can be disconnected in like one second if you need to take the box out.

You know how i keep my box from getting stolen? 3/4 inch thick mother of a box. With two 10" JL Audio Wo's, the damn thing weighs nearly 80 pounds. Thats enough to make the car more tail-happy! I hope to replace them soon for one 8" Kicker L7 (kickass square sub). One of these in a factory tuned box sounds EXACTLY like two nice 12's running off the same amp. Just amazing. Plus WAY lighter.
