: Blang!
Big John 07-09-2005, 11:35 PM Here are a few updates on the B14.
Painted the pipes, chromed the heat shields, installed a GReddy catch can and ToolAPCfan ground wire kit.

I Ditched the Rota slips. The new shoes are 17x7 ADR Phantoms w/ 225 45 17 Neo Gens. Not a bad tire.

Shawn B 07-09-2005, 11:40 PM Magnificent. Really well done.
It must be a trick of the driveway incline and the picture, because the car looks higher in the back(?). Yet the (small) wheelgap looks about the same in the front and back.
Nice whip. :)
Big John 07-09-2005, 11:45 PM Thank you. Actually, I have Tein basics and raised the back of the car up to match the wheel spacing. This setup raised the car almost three inches over the old 15" Slips.

nismo001 07-09-2005, 11:49 PM nice ride john is that the MSD boost retard box in the right corner, if so how do you like it?

No, thats an adjustable RPM switch for the cams. I do have experieince with the BTM, though. It gets the job done, especially if you have bigger injectors and a leaned out AFC.

:D
SE-Rican 07-10-2005, 07:34 AM Looks real good John. Tires look a bit chunky. Do you have any issues with rubbing? Did you use wheel spacers?
Zexel 07-10-2005, 11:13 AM Car looks great John! Amazing.

Saaby 07-10-2005, 12:03 PM I like the front lip...is that a stillen?

Big John 07-10-2005, 12:09 PM I went with a taller tire for several reasons. To manipulate gear ratio and this is my daily driver, so ride comfort is somewhat important to me.
I had to roll the rear fender and raise the coilovers (all the way around) to fit them. If you don't have coilovers I wouldn't recommend this size tire. There are no spacers and the wheels are a +40mm offset.
John
Big John 07-10-2005, 12:09 PM Yes it is.

Big John 07-10-2005, 12:11 PM Yessir. This was thrown together in less than a weekend. The less fabbing the better. Not to mention, I love being a "Blow off showoff!" :biggthump
