ebay is your best bet. I got crower retainers for like $150 and GReddy RAS are like $65

Stick with OEM or stainless steel retainers. Be wary of titanium.

And keep Crower out of your cylinder head.

Ive seen and heard of so many cams and springs from Crower breaking.

And if you're just daily street driving your car, there's no need for TiTaNiUm ReTaInErS DAWG....use your OEM one's. they're fine. Springs are a better and necessary upgrade over retainers anyway.

I have photos of road race head's where the springs have actually worn titanium retainers wafer thin.

Unless you're wanting to rev to 9500 rpm (which would be pointless since these motors stop making power around 8500) and/or use a really aggressive cam, use OEM retainers. It wouldnt hurt to get new one's, but if this isnt a hard driven road race car seeing 5000+ rpms for 30 minutes straight, dont waste your money.

so do you road race these vehicles? and or have seen some sr20 road race engines? I thought that having these light weight retainers would be beneficial to my cars performance. Im planning on getting some JWT s4's or s5's nothing to radical because the car is daily driven, I already have quite a few bolt ons and was wanting to take it a step further. I appeciate your knowledge and comments.
