This poll is to see which way the forum members lead me. Either a 1.6 VE head on my existing 2.0 motor with simple bolt-ons which is running a 14.4 right now, or going with a Bluebird.

The way I look at it, they are both going to be pushing around the same hp, yet the VE way is just a bit cheaper. I would love to have turbo, but I would love to keep it N/A.

The main delema right now is actually trying to find a 1.6 VE head with the 1.6 cams...........kinda making me head towards turbo, but it's a hard call. And in my eyes, turbo off the bat, and over time, is just a little more expensive.

My blue car halfway down the page ( http://www.sr20forum.com/showthread.php?t=117496&page=2&pp=20 ) next to my bike is awaiting something to power it! So please help me decide.

I vote turbo, because... personally, I get tired of having to downshift to keep up with my friends who, while having substantially slower DSMs, can leave it in 5th and spool, while I'm rowing away 3-4-5.

*sigh*

damn what happened to your fender? What is your car used for? 1/4 times? Is it a daily driver? What do you WANT todo really? I kinda have the same problem with making up my mind. So those are the questions I ask myself.

no need for a bluebird motor, just boost your motor. if it is running fine, it will boost fine.

no substitute for boost, everything else is just punching the clown...

if you have the want to go fast, boost it. it will take way more $ to make a na car as fast a turbo car. i ran 13.2 on street tires with a pretty much stock bb swap. an n/a car is gonna take alot to be that fast.

believe me, a gtir t28 setup on your stock motor can do wonders. You can run as low as 12.2 and trap 116+

Go with the Bluebird! Turbo is just way more fun!

I voted bluebird. With a pretty much stock engine/turbo/tmic and a couple bolt ons i ran a 12.5 @ 110.

Will, a T28 can net lower than a 12.2. I'll show you soon enough :biggthump

Haha yeah, 12.2 is a good number at moderate boost levels.

.....................interesting!

Now what bolt-ons that I already have will work with a bluebird? Such as the Fidanza flywheel and Unorthodox crank pulley.

Both of those will work.

And................where is the best place to purchase a bluebird for the best price. I know I know......Search!!! But trust me I have and have found deals before, but like everything else you all know that it changes.

Doesn't anyone know where I could find a 1.6 Ve head with the 1.6 cams???

I want to stay N/A but it's a very hard call, especially when one is very hard to get your hands on!

www.soko.com . Bluebirds are very easy to come buy. I think 16ve parts like that are hard to come by.
