I am in the process of getting a HotShot Turbo setup. I believe that I can do the install my self however I am a little intimidated with the OIL, WATER, and VACUUM lines :confused: . I am aware that I have to tap into the engine block and this is what I am reluctant in doing.
If I do get someone in Jersey who can do it at a resonable price I will give them the job. I am getting a reputable shop in VA to do it for $500., but that is a trip.
Anyway can someone please help with either advising me on the TURBO install or does someone know of a reputable shop in NJ at a resonable price. THANKS!!!

$500 is more than fair to do the job, especially if you're not fully comfortable with the intricasies of the auxilliary lines. You mentioned that it's someone in VA. If it's Jason Garret Young, he'll probably throw in a free date with his poodle, just don't let him take any pictures ;)

the shop might be reputable, but I hear that they don't give stuff away for free unless there is a track history between them and the person.

Word on the street is there is a place in VA that charges $750 for installs of DET's and turbo kits, supposed to be really good too, not only does installs, but drives turbo se-rs and G20s too. I also heard the guy pimps around town in some car with 20's on it. I also heard they just got in another vehicle (from NJ no doubt) to put a Gti-r motor into. The guy is supposed to be REALLY good and detail oriented, reminds me of the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld.

My advise to you would be that if they told you $500, there must have been some catch, like you had to promote them, or it included some type of barter, and I would not be saying that it is $500, since it says on their website it is $750.

I did not mean to give any info about your business on the site. I was looking to see if there is anyone in NJ that can do it for around the same price. It will be such a bitch to drive down to VA and then find a way to get back home, then I have to find a way to go back down to pick up my car. I really wish you all were up a little closer. If need be I will have to drive down to your location.

Unless there is someon in NJ that can either help me with install advice, sponsor me, or do it at a resonable price.
