I have a 95 5-spd G20 and i am now in the market for a DET A local auto place (Venus Auto) can give me a U12/U13 DET with ECU and wire harness for $1000 (they are having a special for 2 more weeks). So here are my Q's.

1) u12 or u13? why?

2) Since they are including an ECU with this "package", is it as easy as swapping my stock ECU witht he U12/U13 ECU that will be given to me? I will not need: Apexi S-AFC, Greddy E-manage Profec E-01 or the JWT ECU, cause i can use the ECU that they are giving me right?

3) I will be running stock boost temporarily. What else do i need in part to complete this swap? I already know that for the U13, i need an FMIC piping kit

4) my G20 is 95 so its OBDII right??? How will this work out by putting an DET that is OBDI in its place??

1.) U13 is newer and you really really don't want a U12 top mount intercooler.
2.) Your ecu is ODB2 so an ODB1 type U13/U12 ecu will not work
3.) You need a new water pump,ecu,FMIC kit and a downpipe. Plus belts and whatever else you replace around the same time. You might want to upgrade your clutch as well.
4.) Your car won't mind the highport motor, it's been done before. You just need to swap your sensors over etc.

That's strange. What I did was go to advanced search and type in various keywords. I chose "Search Titles Only" and selected "Main Forums" in the "Search in Forum(s)" box. The keywords I used were:

"U12"
"U13"
"Bluebird"
"SR20DET swap"

You'll find a ton of information doing that.
