what fellas im new around here and ihad questions about the sr20...i resently got a ser 91 given to me and the motor i beleive is jdm but not sure so i do i know its jdm or usdm..and i the main problem i have is the 5th gear it pops out..is this common??..and ways the motor is strong did a full oil change same i got it ..it has exhaust2 1/4 exhaust and a home made pop charger and ngk wires..i want power asap i was thinking top end first like cams-gears ,ported head,throttle body,intake mani,pulleys,valves,valve spring,retainers,rocker and get it tuned with msd ignition ,blastercoil,and get headers i heard the if u redue top end like that the bottom is soon to go is this *** nissans *** i know that sr20 are basically built proof...but i have some money from a s14.5 that i resently sold so i want to start build with quick bolt ons that make power im a student willin to learn from wiser teacher so please teach!!!!!

There is a lot to learn. Including the golden rule:
Searching is your friend.
Before you post a technical question, be sure you have done keyword searches for the topic you have a question on. Nobody wants to answer the same question over and over again. Most every SE-R question can be answered by browsing the pages on this site, or be found on pages linked from this site. The 3-day waiting period was enacted because people refused to make an honest effort.
The next thing to learn would be posting in the proper section. This is the turbo section, I'd say your post belongs in General SR20, since none of your questions are related to turbo.
I'm not trying to flame you, but others won't be so reluctant to do so. Start with your tranny problem. It's been discussed a million times here. Here you go:

What you need on top of those headers is a dual quad intake manifold and the Tk421 modification.
