I want to put a sparco steering wheel in my drag car, just because I think it will looks good. but they cost around $200 dlls. Will I benefit for something putting this steering wheel, or It will just bling.

I want to know if at least I'll have weight reduction.

Thanks.

PD. Give me Ideas of which one to buy please.

if you have an airbag stock, it will be lighter. im not sure about the non airbag equipped cars. most people do it because its a slightly smaller wheel in diameter.

i do it for the smaller wheel diameter.. but the stock wheel is very nice when compared to other stock wheels by other manufacturers..

I agree with Lance. I really love my small Momo steering wheel in my NX. I may be wrong but with the small diameter it just seems like I don't have to turn as much to make corners anymore. Its funny because when I drive my SRT it feels like I'm a boat captain. That wheel is huge.

To combat torque steer probably. You have more leverage on the steering system.

would'nt a bigger wheel give you more leverage ;)

bigger wheel = more leverage-easier to to turn
smaller wheel = smaller movements for similiar steering inputs, ie to turn 13" diameter wheel 90 degrees you hand follows an arc 10" in length. For an 11" diameter the same 90 degree arc is only 8.5"

For a drag car it's all bling, in fact there is an argument to be made that the larger wheel will allow a finer adjustment, which for drag racing is all you really need.

Plus you can get a quick release. One of the best security features to keep someone from stealing your car if you ask me. Although you may get some looks carrying your steering wheel around and you'd be screwed if someone decides to take your wheel..
