Well did a engine swap and the one thing that went astray was the ground wire wasn't firmly attached (my hawker batter is turned on its side) and I fried something in the dash.

Fortunately (or unfortunately) this happened before (3 years ago) and I fried the electrical system behind the speedo, tack (its like a thin sheets with copper lines running to all the dash lights-- don't know what its called. At the time I took it took it to the service station and they charged me $$$ to replace. I've pretty much got it apart but can't pull the unit out because of the wires in the back.

So question is, do I need to remove the center console to get to those wire connections. I can't get to them from underneath (where the pedals are). Any help would be much appreciated...

I pulled a dash recently so Im sure I saw just about every connection in there.

If you are just trying to remove the gauge cluster. Unplug it. The connectors are dual pushpin type. one on the top and one on the bottom, You have to release them both at the same time to get the plug to pull out...I hope im not missunderstanding you

Also, the 91-92's had a speedo cable.

Yeah, got it apart but the dash was ok. Thing is I didn't put it back together right because car won't start now. I must have plugged in something backwards. Anyone got a dash wire diagram???
