I just uploaded my pics of my PLace racing CAI.

My innerfender is a little rusty but I thought this could give someone a idea of what the PLace Racing CAI looks like on a B13.

My PRI shakes too much. The hole protector they gave me sucks. Does yours do the same? I know there is a better protection and can't figure out how.

I took a piece of silicone Black hose and slice it down one side and wrapped that around the whle's edge and that seems to be working pretty well....Oh by the way I did that on my B15 not the B13...

Will the Place Racing CAI bolt up the same to an SR20DET as the stock SR20DE? I'd like to pick up a couple things before the swap, but I don't want to have to sell anything down the road. Thanks.

Check your local Home Depot. In the plumbing Dept.
All kinds of hoses. Just get one that looks like it would fit.

Mine hasn't given me a minutes worth of problem other than the silicon coupling being to damn small. I went to a local Auto Parts store and bought some 3" silicon hose and fixed it.

As far as your problem I would try losening your clamps and moving the lower pipe up closer to the MAF. That should tighen things up a bit. Or do the hose trick.

3" sounds good to me. what about when you have it in a short ram position. It is rainy these past days and I dont have a Bypass-Valve. The cone filter touches the car's frame. Is this safe or is there another method to prevent this from happening?

When I first installed mine I was very cautious at the first drop of rain. I now drive my car in the pouring rain without a worry. The plastic shield under the filter protects the filter from most rainy situations. I have only heard of hydrolock in situations where people are tring to cross flooded roads or huge puddles in the road.

yeah that would help me out too. But the splash guard on the left side got torn off. Dont know how and my cone filter is very visible if you pay attention to it. thats why I have it on short ram right now. I need to get a new splash guard.
