OK guys, as you may know I am n the process of a DE turbo build up.
I plan on using a GTiR ECU and Greddy E-manage to iron out any bugs.
But I ave a few issues...
1. Will the GTiR ECU have a speed limit...i.e. 112 mph?
2. Does the GTiR ECU require a Fuel Cut Defender / Defencer when running over a certain boost level?
Cheers

no speed limit on the gti-r ecu.....as far as the Fuel Cut Defencer, no clue

The 112mph limiter will not cut in unless your going to use the electric speed sensor i think?
I have the Gtir ecu running my Gtir swap in my pulsar Gti and have had it to over 130! i am using the cable speed sensor so i dont think it links to the ecu!
I know that i had my Gti-R running over 1.2bar without fuel cut and think there are people running 1.4 without a fuel cut defender!

When I was on boost I was using a GTI-R ecu and yes it did have a speed cut. It would cut out at about 115 mph.
The GTIR ECU does have a speed but at 112mph.
There is a speedo feed (electric) which goes first to the speedo then to the ECU. If this is therefore in place you can't go above 112mph.
BUT if you can intercept the signal and stop it from going above 112 or apply a multiplication factor then you're OK.
i.e. You take the feed and apply a correction factor of ~0.62 then you'll be OK because the 'true' speed that the cut will occur will be 180mph (112/0.62). This will have added benefit of converting your GTIR's KPH clocks into MPH (likewise the odometer).
There is suggestion that the same will occur if you route the signal feed through a set of MPH clocks anyway. I've never tried so can't comment.
Or you just drop the speed as someone else noted.

I aint had any problems! i`ve had mine pressing on the trip reset! but i am using a JAM Sport Racing ECU so it may have the limiter taken off!
