: Anyone noticed this??

Anyone noticed a fusebox right behind the right headlight, to the right of the Battery? Call me dumb but today is my first time actually reading the fuses in it. I saw fuses that read ABS, Power Windows, and ignition. And the wierd part is, i dont have neither ABS or Power Windows??
**This is not the fuse box by the distributer guys.

Well, if your car DID have ABS and PW I'm sure they'd do something :D

probably just a by product of mass production...they can't tailor a wiring harness to every car, so they probably just made a harness for a car with all the options, and if your car doens't have them, they probably just cap off the wires or something....:)

so has anyone ever checked if there really is a wiring for those things that might not be on the car? the reason I ask is because I'm planning on doing power window conversion and I think this might make the job much easier if the car is already pre-wired.

Take the door panel off and look! Its only about 8 screws...the window crank handel is a trick though...gotta have a special tool...

Or you can rip the crank off by hand and glue it back on later... or not.

you dont need a tool for the window, just push the door panel in a bit, and there is a pin behind the crank, pop the pin off with a screw driver or something and the crank will come off

YeloBlammo is right. what did is took a nail and bent it so i looks like a fishing hook. then hook the pin and pull it out. but put that pin in is a pain in the ass it took me 30 min to do it the first time.

I just used a small flathead, if you put it in just right, the clip pops right off. just don't lose it! :)

Thanks for the info guys, I've done a few speaker swaps so getting through the door panel shouldn't be a problem. I'll take a look as soon as the weather turns nice around here ( just got 5 inches of snow today for the first time this year :D ). So should i just look for 2 loose wires? I remember seeing a couple of speaker wires and the wires for the side mirrors already.

Australian delivered models came in two forms:~

1) NX model ...looks same like 1.6 nx but with SR20de

2) NX R model ...same as NX2000 all models had power windows, cruise control, ABS , etc

Hey, I just put a new door on my NX2000. There are no wires going into the door for power windows if you're car does not already have it, sorry. There are a two sets of wires, one that is sent to the power mirrors and one set to the speakers and that is it. There are no extra wires for power windows at that junction, You should check the wiring harness that's in the A pillar and check that clip with a FSM and see if the power window wires are at least run that far. If there are extra wires going to that clip then you could fab something up there, but I would check there and save you the time of taking apart your door panel.

Yeah I think I noticed that when I was working on my speakers a while back but I wasn't sure. You saved me a lot of unnessasary work :) Now I'll just check right at the fuses and see if there are actual wires there and go from there.

Thanks,
Nick

I was just out there and there is alot more wires goint to the other side of the clip than there are wires coming out of it. So it must be prewired. You should be able to check this out with a FSM or a Haynes.
