Ok I see all the time, no matter what forum I'm on about vacuume hoses causing big problems! So my Q is has anyone here just changed out all their hoses and if so did they see a smoother better running motor??

I've done it, at least almost completely done it anyway. It was to get my engine running better. And yes, I noticed a big difference, but I had several broken/missing lines.

i've changed all mine out as well as removing all the EGR and canister and the car ran a lot better, but it will not pass emisions this way. I just liked that I got rid of what felt like 2 miles of hoses.
