Just got my 93 SE-R, and it seems to idle a little weird. On start-up, it'll idle a little high, as much as 1500-1600rpm. After driving in the upper rpm range for a while (say 3k or so, on the interstate in 5th, about 60mph i believe) once slowing down, it'll idle low. As low as 500rpm. Is this a common problem? I had a similiar problem with my 3000gt, turned out to be the idle speed controller and cost $300 :(

TPS sensor being off, and the base idle being off can cause this.
Have you done a MAF ground check, TB cleaning, base idle adjustment and TPS voltage check? My 240SX needed all the above for similar problems.

I haven't done any of the above. I figured I'd check the idle, but i don't think thats going to do it. After doing some searching the forums, I'm going to check the elctronics fuse first (cause its free). If that doesn't work, then I'll just make my way down the list. Looks like its time to break out the multimeter :D

Before your engine has warmed up the car will idle high, but once it warms up it should drop down to between 700 and 800.
