Well gang, friday coming home from work, halfway into the 1.5 miles trip, my oil feed line popped off. I noticed the turbo not spooling when I hit the gas, and then the oil light started flickering, than became a solid light. I immediately pulled over into a lot and fixed the hose, drove no more than 40 feet after I aw the light. I added the only full quart of mobil 1 I had with me and drove the remaining .5 - .75 miles home. I went out saturdya and drined the oil, a quart or less, then fixed the feed line and added 4 new quarts of 10w30.

Sunday I notice a diesel or startup clatter sound from 3000-4000 rpms. Dont hear it at idle, before 3000, or after 4000 rpms. I dont feel a power loss at all and I am getting conflicting theories as if it is a bearing from 2 different car people, us, the Nissan fanatics and the local muscle heads.

I plan to replace the bearings this weekend and was reading in the Haynes that the sizes are stamped on the block and crank. Are there different sizes for each SR20? Can I just call up good ole Brian @ courtesy and order some to replace? Thanks to all for helping me! Frigin 65,000 mile engine and I may have spun a bearing! DAMNIT!

Sorry to hear about your mishap...don't feel bad, I'm going through the same thing right now. My oil pickup tube fell off and I'm tearing my motor apart as we speak! This should help you...

Cool, thats a great illustration, happen to know which end is the rear? I am guessing under cylinder #4 on the driver side right?

Man that sucks.

Here's what you do:

On your crank will be 4 numbers stamped (on top od the 4 numbers will be 5 nymbers). Get those 4 numbers.

You should check everything to make sure, so you dont have to do it twice.

If you have any questions just email me.
