I did some searching on the forum, and most people said for daily driving get OE replacement rotors. The Brembos we're pretty cheap so I decided I'd give them a try.

details on price and where u got it from :) those are nice

i got them from importreplacementparts.com and they were about $146 shipped.
i've been working on just the front rotors the whole day because the car was bought from NJ, and I guess all that dam salt made everything rust up and its been a bitch to get them off :mad:

Looks like a good rotor. I might have to hit those up when I replace my rotors.

Yeah, on my last 2 toyotas, Taco & p/u had Brembo rotors instaled on them. My brothers mechanic got the for me Dirt cheap & must say that apart from the OEM rotors, Brembos are just as good & lasted me twice as long. Just to let you guys know, I drive like 60K miles a year, & thats just for work... :D

I just bought the same setup from them. I got Axxis pads for all 4 corners as well.

Only drawback is the moment any water sat on them (ie: rain) they surfaced rusted. :(

I have painted the fronts and they look great, but the rear's I haven't got around to yet. Let me see if I can snap some pictures tomorrow.

Rotor's look good and give us some detail's after the install and break in.

The install took me the whole weekend and they're still now done yet. The reason is because the car was originally from NJ, and the rotors were rusted on. The drive side rotor took about an hour of beating with a sledge hammer before it finally broke loose. After It broke loose the install went well on that side. So I moved onto the passenger side....and snapped the 2 bolts that hold the caliper to the hub :mad: Took me the rest of the day and onto the night to beat a wedge between the caliper bracket and the hub, but it finally after beating the shit out of it, i was able to seperate the bracket from the hub. After I finished the front, i went on the the driver rear, and that one took no time at all. So I was on the last one, and come to find out that the caliper is locked up, probably because the e-brake line was pulling on it for who knows how long. I ordered at new caliper (which cost me $113) and I should finish the brakes today. I've never heard of brakes taking this long, I could usually get them done in about 2 hours on my blue car.

I replaced the rotors on my B14 aswell... There's a little trick to getting the front and rear rotors off even if they're stuck like a mofo.. Looking at the picture of the front rotors.. There are two small threaded holes.. Find a bolt that has the same thread pattern, and run the two bolts little by little in there with a butterfly tool.. When they are forced into those threaded holes.. it pushes on the hub poping the rotor off like cake or some other kind of sweet unhealthy dessert... lol.. Let me know if you want help doing whatever.. I've probably done it before, or im willing to learn!

Anytime I have trouble taking a rusted rotor off, I just spray some WD40 or PB Blaster and pound the rotor a couple time's with a hammer. And that usually pop's them right off.

Its funny you brought that up, i was using both of them! :eek2: That damn salt, im so glad i dont live up north. I had a sledge hammer and was taking full arm swings at it! Thats how hard they were to get off.

That's crazy!! I am glad I dont have to worry about rust.
