I've got a few questions..
I cracked a ring landing in my number 2 cylinder the other day when my deltagate siezed. I've got the engine torn down and it's going to need a bore job. My question is...what brand pistons should i go with? 87mm is the size I'm going... Someone told me that the 300zx pistons will fit. I though about the JE's too. I want to go 8.5:1 compression. I'm going to use the stock rods too. I need to get this thing back up and running...Can anyone recommend some brands to look at?
Thanks
Travis

I have JE pistons for $630 shipped to you. They come with piston pins and rings. The JWT piston will cost you $800 and you still have to buy rings for abot $120. Your total on JWT pistons $920. The pistons that I am selling are 8.5-1 compression and you can get 86mm, 86.5mm and 87mm.

Do you have access to a Torque Plate? You need one in order to get the 87mm bore. JWT will only do this service for people who buy thier pistons!

You can get Wiseco, JE or Ross pistons made for the SR20.

I also have a torque plate that is big enough to take 90mm pistons on a SR20 block but that would require sleeving.

VG30DETT pistons work, 87mm, 9:1 compression unmolested with stock head gasket... $34/each with rings.. I chose this as it was cost effective and met my needs.

I'm probably going to go with the JE forged pistons. I can get them for 425.00 a set. I've also found the GTI-R pistons that Nissan motorsports sells. I can get them for 34.00 a piece and they sell a .2mm oversize. If .2mm will clear the light scratches, then I'll just use them. The lower compression should help to ward of detonation right? What do you guys mean by Torque Plate? I'm not familiar with it.. Also, what's the trick to getting the driver side axle back in? I noticed that there is a snap ring on it. Is there a special tool for this? Thanks for all the help guys..
Peace

That doesn't include rings...That's my cost on them. Retail is much higher. I'll mail you later today...
