Serban 02-07-2002, 10:55 AM Damn thats nice!!!!
I want one of those too! :D
That thing is gonna be a monster when it gets out on the roads...watch out V8s, the egg is gonna mess you up ;)
keithert 02-07-2002, 11:09 AM Come to Illinois and do that to my NX!!!!
QuickZeek 02-07-2002, 11:10 AM Thanks,
I'll be sure to let everyone know how it goes when it goes.:D
Jackson Diamond 02-07-2002, 11:46 AM Looks damn nice!! HOws the hood clearance doesnt look there is very much? Damn its so sweet though
QuickZeek 02-07-2002, 11:55 AM I did some checking last night and the Hood clears fine but if things get too hot im sure my hood will boil.
I think tonite Ill set my camera up to take an auto pic and leave it under the hood and see if i can get a good shot from under with the hood closed.
I think I'll pass on ever doing this again.:D
QuickZeek 02-08-2002, 09:01 AM I took some pics last night of the clearences and the only problem is my Oil inlet line it sits too high, I was affraid of that early on when I bought the connections but It was all the shop had at the time. So Ill just have to buy new connections and fittings next week. I have to get some more stuff for my VAC lines anyway so no biggie.

I know what you mean!!!
QuickZeek 02-08-2002, 01:46 PM I can't say much except that when its ready to kick V8 A$$ I might think different about doing it again.
I mean it might be just enough satisfaction to make it all worth it.
YeloBlammo 02-09-2002, 04:37 PM I think I'll pass on ever doing this again.
YAAAAA RIGHT!...its the fact that you did the shit all yourself, made your own manifold, shit ,ild be proud to say i did all that after its all built up, thats satifactin enough, some people dont have a clue and you can say you did it, its all a learning experience
QuickZeek 02-11-2002, 09:18 AM yeah that was my goal.
"so who did your work"
"Me"
"No I mean who did you get your kit from"
"I built it"
"Well then who installed it"
"Me"
Thanks for the kind words:)
I guess my big concern is was building the manifold worth it.
For the guy that has it all.....No, Go buy an F-Max
For the guy that uses he's left brain and is on a limited budget....yes, build it but be forwarned.....If somthing dosen't go right you will end up spending more than the F-max.
I Have not run the car yet so I can't say that everything is perfect.
We will see.
Thanks again,
12.30se-r92 02-12-2002, 12:47 AM quickzeek u from htown 2 u ever b on westimer sat nights?

hooligan NX2000 02-12-2002, 10:03 PM damn nice work... i wish i new how to do stuff like that... and i wish that was under my hood~ tight
:)
94AztecClassic 02-12-2002, 10:28 PM what size is the turbo?
QuickZeek 02-13-2002, 09:22 AM Yeah 3 years ago I would of never thought to venture in this deep. Thanks!
The turbo Is a Turbonetics T3 Stage III .63 A/R - T4OE 50 trim .50 a/r. Same as the F-max turbo (it was from an F-max kit)
YeloBlammo 02-14-2002, 09:41 AM how to you have your plumbing from the fmic to the tb going?..looks like it goes beween the batt. and the car..how you get it down in front from there?..just curious..keeps the pics comin, looks good
QuickZeek 02-14-2002, 09:55 AM From the IC it takes a 90 back twards the rear around the frame,
Then another 90 up through a hole where my previous CAI was, then another 90 tward the brake MS
just to the left (from standing in front of the car) of the Brake MS it takes a 45 twards the TB.
its 304 SS 2.5" piping
from the IC to the TB its only welded in 2 places
IC-90-weld-90-COUPLING-90-COUPLING-90-COUPLING-45-WELD
TB.
The 90 that connect the two main pices together sits inside the hole from the CAI I didn't want it welded because If it gets damaged I want to be able to replace just that and not the whole piping. plus it gives more flex in the line.
All the couplings Are Turbonectics Silicone (red)
I'm also using t-bolt clams for just about everything.
I can get some pics if you want.
YeloBlammo 02-17-2002, 11:42 PM well, shit, sure ill see some pics, i was planning of using the same intercooler and its going in my nx , so it would give me a pretty good idea...thanks
12.30se-r92 02-18-2002, 03:54 AM let me know whenever u planin on rollin to westimer ill go and check it out in person
