Hey guys i got a problem, i was drivin to work today and as i went to pass someone my car kinda bogged a lil bit then picked up speed, i then heard a loud pop and the car just starts revving freely for no reason. I try every gear and nothin, clutch wont engage and i hear *** sounds like the throw out bearing making noise. Any ideas what this could be????. Im thnkin its the pressure plate but i want more opinions before i order a clutch kit.TIA.lata

sounds like your disc fell to pieces. sounds like what exactly happened to me in my red nx. all of sudden nothing, wouldnt go into gear etc etc. found out the disc just broke apart. your ve correct ?? if so the act hd/ss set up would suit your good.

Mine did that a few years ago. Turns out it was the pass side axle. Took all the splines off the hub end. :(

A few years ago?? That thing hasnt moved in 2 years... That sure doesnt feel too good does it?? When you have to re-live old memories instead of recent ones...

P.S. I have done that too and it was my throttle cable popped off the bracket over the Intake Manifold... you may want to check that... It scared the shit out of me when it happened, tightened it back down and all was well...

Drop the tranny and look before you order parts. Just might be somthing stupid, why spend 300$+ for nothing? :squint:

I heard a spring could of fallen out and cause those symptoms but I could be wrong. My brain is kinda beat from a long night of work.

Well the axle didnt break, when i push the pedal down all i hear is a spining noise that gets louder as i rev the car and it goes into gear without using the clutch. Im just gonna order a brand new kit. This is why i hate buying a car thats modded. Soon to be 4 sale anyone want dibs?????? 96 200sx ser 3500obo.

its probably a spring from the clutch.. and why blame the last guy who had the car, it might not be his fault... my clutch broke a spring in less than 2 years and not really beating on the car either

I wasnt trying to be slick ni--a, i just took it off becaus I coulda did that, Was their a contract for me to leave the lucion badge on their??? It was mine! OK!
I had the MAF adaptor ziped tied since the car was mine! Oh wow, thats a BIG macahnical issue!
As for the other car, That ni--a didnt want to sell you his car from day 1! Thats why he kept blowing you off, everytime you called him! Get your facts str8 homie!
And when i had the car, it ran 100% The alternator bolt cause the car to brakee down when you drove it away??? Or did it drive away after it was purschased fine???
