they dont trust using them more than a few times and i would rather have new ones to be honest...just a lil safety measure

also if you dont already have a SR20 in the car you may need a bunch of US SR Sensors.
Temp, Oil pressure, Knock???, maybe others too.
I can't be sure what else there was a list somewhere on SE-R.net that listed things you shoud swap from one to the other you could use that same list to figure out what else you need.

how much labor is involved with replacing the connecting rod bearings and bolts?

Its most easily done with the engine out of the car.... you gotta remove the upper and lower oil pans....then you must take the bearings out and measure the clearance with plastiguage and check to see if its within a range set by the FSM. Its a lengthy process but i think it can be done without too much headache. Just so you know. I havent actually done it, Ive only read about it.

um the rod bearing replacement is pretty simple but the rod bolts i would imagine you need to take the rods out to get to the head of the bolts (i dont believe that the bolts are like the ones used on the exhaust manifold-with thread on both ends-)when i changed my bearings on BB I only had to torque them twice.
1. checking the clearance (new bearings of course)
2. cleaning journal and putting back-
lucky for me the 0 grade for me was within spec and no need to move up in size so that saved me a headache.
