Hey people, you guys are a big help and I just want to say thanks, a whole lot, I mean it, anyways I think I've decided to do the engine swap to a JMD SR20DE, I'm not able to sell the car with all these payments and other things, but before I do how much do you think I'll get on my GA16? And how much will the new engine and installation cost? and where should I start looking for the motor? and about how much difference is there between the DE and DET? Sorry about all the questions, I know you guys have better things to do but I really want to learn, and I've got this great friend who knows everything on Jap cars, so he's gonna help me out, thanks again guys you are the best, I feel blessed that I found the board, well class is almost out so see you guys later and take care of yourselves =)

you're most definitely welcome. i have no idea how much a ga16 is worth, but i'd like to think you can get at least a grand for it. as for purchasing a new jdm, ask andreas miko if he has any (just do a search for his name). he is super helpful and can prolly answer most, if not all, of your question about the swap.

hey just thought i would add that i stripped a ga16de today and the exaust valves are about as big around as my thumb. intakes are not much bigger. also the head casting is not exactly power oriented. i know that this is an old thread, but i'm writing for posterity sake. also, in case anyone is interested in the parts i just dissed...
