Can anyone please give me a suggestion where I can buy a CAI for my NX2K. I've looked around but had not had good luck.

I decided to go with the CAI again. Full Placeracing. Just to see if I was crazy. Well i must admit that first and second do rev out a lot faster. My clutch is slipping and it still felt good. I am using a small K&N too. My idle isn't funky as it was with the first CAi. I have not gotten a chance to ush it upstairs to see if it still runs out on the top end. Remember folks, I do not have a stock NX2000 lower bumper spoiler. Mine ttally eliminates those brackets for the Foglights and other garbage that may have been restricting air flor. The filter seems to be right on top of the splash guard. You guys are sure you drive in the rain w/o problems? I cannot go under the car every week to remove the filter assembly. I don't change settings on struts unless I need to so I damn sure are not going to be swapping this thing at the first site of rain.

I was thinking about cutting up the brackets w/ a dremel tool to improve air flow.. but not so much as to compromise the functionality of my foglights...bad idea?

and, does air really have to "flow" down there, or is the CAI like vacuum?

Ian are you going to the convention? If you are which car are you taking? I'm taking my NX2K and I would like to see your NX and how you set it up.

If I'm not mistaken, are you somewhat discouraging us from buying the CAI?

Just curious!

For those who still have the OEM front end and fog lights, just removing the OEM fog lights will open up a nice size space to allow air flow to the CAI filter.

This is what I did to my NX.

If I do I am flying out. I am not dsicouraging you from getting a CAi. I had bad results with the foglights on the stock spoiler. There is a lot better airflow to the filter now. I actually see what the hub hub is all about with the CAi is now. I just need a bigger filter.

I think it's only a problem if you incounter deep puddles during the rainy season. If that's the case, just short stack it. Then when the rainy season is over, you can then go back to the full set up.
