: S/T anti-sway bar instructions wrong?

I got my rear Suspension Techniques anti-sway bar today (nice looking grey piece), and during the install, the instructions say to use the short side of the end link bracket to mount to the radius arm/rod, and the long side to mount to the endlink bolt. But this won't work and it appears it should be the other way around because the radius arm/rod bolt is much bigger, and the bigger hole on the bracket is on the long side.

Are their instructions backwards? I haven't tried installing it the (only) way it will fit yet.

Sorry, I can't help you... But let us know when you get it on.
I'm planning to get one too.
How much was it by the way, and where did you get it?

My sister will have her car over here tomorrow, and I'll take a picture of the rear sway bar.

It is the short side of the bracket. I installed it 2 weeks ago. It was really annoying as the there is a certain way to get it in. You should do it all as one peice connected already and the radius arm jacked up. I found that way the easiet as the bolt cant be reached with the wrench or socket because of the bolt holdin the bushings blocked it. I did it by putting in the bracket first and it was a lot harder.

Thanks for the responses, I got it installed correctly earlier this afternoon. Everything went in as the directions specified - except that there was a problem with the end link brackets I received. Both of the bolt holes (a large one for the radius rod bolt, and a small one for the end link bolt) were too small. It was only by about 1/16 of an inch or less. This wouldn't allow the large bolt through and the bushings didn't sit right on the larger hole.

Anyway, I had to enlarge both of the holes on both brackets to get everything to install right. I'll call Suspension Techniques on Tuesday to let them know they are shipping some brackets that won't work without a bit of minor modification.

So it was right around 4:30pm or so when I figured this out (on a friday) and I don't own a drill or the bits necessary to enlarge the holes. I thought I was going to have to wait until tomorrow to find someone to fix this when I realized I had a dremel bit that would work (it did quite well actually).

Anyway, just thought this would be good information for anyone about to do this...

Other than the problem with the size of mounting holes, was the install a giant pain, or was it an average affair? Any binding in everyday driving?

I'm warming up to the idea of a ST rear swaybar myself (if it's a not a terror to install and live with).

I'd say it was an average affair, just follow their instructions and it shouldn't take too long. I'd say the hardest part (after enlarging the holes with a dremel) was to get the radius arm bolts back in, and even that wasn't hard.

I'm not sure if I can positively say there is binding in everyday driving, because I'm not sure what to look for. This is the first 'performance' car I've owned, and the first time I'm doing any suspension modifications like this. It does bind up real nice when you have the rear of the car jacked up, but I guess that goes without saying since the wheels are off the ground. I would be interested in hearing what others half to say regarding this.

I will say this bar definately was worth the money, it helped so much with the car's propensity to understeer, and it feels quite nice hanging it in a corner, even with stock springs and the AGXs on the softest setting! I can't wait till the first autocross!

Here are some pictures of the new and old anti-sway bar:

Excellent.

Nopi has it for $123.63 (http://www.nopionline.com/check_out.asp?ProductID=305415), which is the cheapest I can find online.
