Ok - 96 SE-R
Need to switch distributors in it (and also in my DET motor coming up).


Now - since they are in there correctly to start - can I mark the location of the rotor and replace them using that for refrence or do I need to actually find TDC etc.?

They can only go in 2 way's. Eather right or 180 out just look at the rotor. It's a no brainer:)

Do you mean the rotor itself, or the part that fits into the exhaust cam? The part that fits into the exhaust cam will only fit one way. I'm not sure if the rotor will fit 180 degrees off, but I don't see why it would. The inside is shaped like a triangle, so I'm sure Nissan, or actually Mitsubishi, made it to fit one way.
