a good priced b14 trans?

i know this should usually go in the forsale willing to buy but all i ever find there is b13 trannies.

my se-l is an auto and i drive my 240 more due to it being stick and i miss the rev happy sr and hate that i cant control it due to the slug o matic i work as a tech at a nissan dealer so other parts arent to hard to find or buy just need the mother of them all. The trans!

and look at Northern Auto Sales. I'll be buying a tranny from them, and I know some people that have dealt with them.

You might as well get a 95-97 B14 trans for the VLSD (you'll need a drivers side axle from the same years also).

ohh i am definately going for a lsd setup :D
so the drivers side axle is the only thing id need no pass side?

i would need new trans mounts for the driverside as well correct. ecu do i need a new cross member? i know i need the flywheel clutch linkage new pedals. uhh am i missing anything?

ive heard some talk about a dogbone?

I work as an apprentice tech at a nissan dealer so tools and parts will be easy to come by and cheap. i just need to find the big things first.

I'm afraid I'm not to familiar with auto tranny's and switching to manual. In fact, I don't even know if the autos had/lost the VLSD at the same time.

If you already had a manual you would need a new drivers side axle. I'll see if I can get someone who knows more to come help here.

not sure if the autos of those years have the vlsd or not. know the b14's up to 97 had a vlsd in the auto im pretty sure. doc lew said his had it. just get up under the car and look on the transaxle and see if there is big beefy ribbing right around where the axles go in. thats the sure fire way to tell if there is a VLSD in there. if not it will be flat. check the plate on the door for tranny type...v will say it has it. but id get under and look.

swapping trannines isnt hard, but after you nickle and dime it to death id almost rather save for another classic, which is what im doing. but seeing how new your car is id doubt thats an option.

autos didnt have lsd. they only came in 95-97 b14 200sx se-r's.
ive never heard of an auto having it but i could be wrong who knows?
