I noticed this EGT uses 4 seperate probes and automaticaly shows highest probe reading on meter , just though that this was a pretty cool find considering that you could tell exactly what cylinder(s) was running either too rich or too lean. Not too mention the the way you can attach the sensors either via spark plugs or by tapping exhaust manifold.:biggthump http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4581490030&ssPageName=MERC_VI_RSCC_Pr4_PcY_BID_Stores_IT

It only measures up to 700F. 90% of all turbo cars that I have been in idle at more than 700F. Not sure about NA cars but I would imagine they would get over 700F as well, but I hav enever really seen an EGT in a I4 NA car that was a street application.
Regardless it is a cool concept, I wonder if there is one that reads higher than 700?

The link listed above is for the CHT gauge, cylinder heat temp.
The link to the EGT is below, 0 - 1900F:

They retail for $566. It'd be interesting if you could get that to work on a car... I don't know if the probes would work, I'm not familiar with a car EGT probe.

Well here's the issue. On a turbo car (where EGT is most important) the majority of SR owners are running Log manifolds where separate probes are pretty much useless. On a BB or GTi-R Manifold they could work, but again at a pretty high cost.
I use the approach of placing the probe in the collector just before the turbo to try and get an average.
