I bought a T25 and they told me that I could run it as long as I don't push it without upgrading my computer, I'm thinking that 7psi is enough, I need help has anybody ran it like this, without the upgraded ECU, I wanted to get the ECU when I upgrade to a T28 in the not so near future.

Also, do I need to upgrade the injectors at 7psi, I'm going to but I just wanted to know if it is a must.

7psi on stock injectors is KABOOM!!!..Trust me...I just pulled my motor out with 3 cracked pistons b/c of this. I tried a rising rate regulator..and it just doesn't work well. People tried to warn me, but I was too stuborn. Don't make the same mistake I did. Get the JWT ECU and just be done with it

This is the setup that I plan to run

STOCK ECU

JDM SR20DE

T25 turbo off of a DET

300zx injectors

About my ECU:

If I can come up with $200 bucks (which I should) and you guys tell me that my car will run fine with a DET ECU then I will get it and run it. Has anybody ran a SR20DE home made T with the SR20DET ECU, any problems, I really need your guys help, date of installation is last week of MARCH.

Thanks

Well.. either way your car will run like crap.

Using a stock ECU with 370cc injectors, it'll probably pump in way too much gas making it run rich as hell *** the ecu isn't calibrated for the bigger injectors.

Run a DET ecu on a DE... well, the DET has a lower compression... so the car will probably run rich again. Plus, I don't think the DET and DE mafs are the same?

I'd say, save up more money and do it right the first time. Otherwise, you'll waste a lot of time, be frustrated, and probably end up spending more money. That's my take at least...

actually, with the DET ecu on the DE, not quite sure what it'll do...
the DET is programmed for the lower compression..... so on a DE, it might lead to detonation which will blow up your motor... maybe..

JDM SR20DE

Uh, which one? Is this the 10:1 one? I do not know how to tell the higher compressing JDM sr20 from the lower compression one. If its the higher one, thats just one more thing to make this dangerous.

To the best of my Knowledge the only Nissan Primera's that come from the factory with 10:1 compression is the Primera GT SR20DE all other Nissan Primera's have 9:5:1 compression and are disignated as SR20De Ref: (www.primeraweb.f2s.com/gtcomparison.html). there are many other differences but i'll let the link handle that. As far as telling them apart externaly, I believe the Nissan Primera GT 10:1 compression is the only FWD Nissan Primera with a factory red valve cover. I have seen 3 of these particular motors myself, I guess the reason why you only see them occasionaly is because the Nissan Primera GT wasn't as mass produced as other Nissan Primera's IMHO.

thanks charlie, you helped me a lot, I don't have a red top, another thing, that Claudio told me was to use a flash light and check through the spark plug hole, I have a bright ass flash light the size of a pen that will help me too. I love this forum.:D
