Hey guys my clutch has started to stick down to the floor on occasions. (Stupid question time) Is our clutch cable or hydraulic?? If it is cable, any hints on how to make it not stick or some answers as to why it might be sticking?
I dunno of any nx with a hydraulic clutch, nothing in the fsm about on, think it is most definetley a cable, and I would just replace it, the wires are probally fraying inside the cable.

NX's have cable clutches. I think all SR20's until like 1999 had cable operated clutches. Start cheap, with the cable. If its not that, you probably have a bad pressure plate. I had the same problem, in addition, it was very very hard to step on the clutch and when you did, it had a very grainy feel to it.
Clutch cable is an easy job....shouldn't take ya more than a half hour to an hour. Why would it be sticking? Maybe the cable is fraying inside the sheath, etc etc. Actually, before you go out and buy a new cable, disconnect your old one first. If you can run the cable through by hand easily, then you really don't need a new one. Good luck

i had the problem with my old suzuki that the clutch felt quite hard and it felt like it was sticking a bit when depressed. all i did was tighten the cable where it joins to the clutch. i havent had a look at my nx but it shouldnt b to hard

You know, before you replace it, check to see if it came loose at all. There is a wheel and a nut that adjusts and tightens the clutch cable. If those are loose or arent in the right spot on the threading, then your clutch will feel like there is no pressure behind it, and it might just plop onto the floor. Good luck with it though.

Stupid answer time - just in case...
Your floor mat? If it's in the right place, it'll hold the clutch pedal down. I think Nissan actually put out a TSB about this in the mid-90's. Unlikely - but you might want to check before replacing cables etc.

I would do what Robin said. That happen to me and I just had to rearrange the floor mats.
