Ok, I decided on the ultraflow muffler but not to sure of a part number. I did some searches and came up with 17287, but this is a 20 inch long muffler and not to sure if it will fit? I am wondering if there is a place to get the muffler a 90 degree bend and about a 2 foot section of 2 1/4 piping and a exhaust tip (not too large about 3" outlet)? Getting all this from one place would be excellent. I am going to replace the axle back on my existing 2 1/4 HKS cat back. TIA

That muffler will fit. Also, you can get the mandrel bent piping from jc whitney. You can get straight pipe in sections, 45 degree bends, 90 degree bends, they have it all. www.jcwhitney.com. Check it out.

I don't remember the dimensions, but the Ultraflow on my old SE-R was part #WLK-17291.

sr20demike,
i'm planning on getting my exhaust replaced this weekend. i ordered the dynomax ultra flo welded muffler (wlk-17217) from www.summitracing.com - they're going for $60 at summit. i also ordered a thrush glasspack (wlk-24201) for another $16. and last but not least, i got a borla stainless steel exhaust tip (bor-20103) for $32. these are the actual part numbers for summit racing, *** i believe they're pretty universal, at least the number part is.
their sales reps are very pleasant, shipping via fed-ex is free (they do charge a handling charge on some items - in my case it was only $7), and their delivery is INCREDIBLY fast. i ordered my parts on sunday night and they should be at my doorsteps later this afternoon, according to fed-ex tracking.
anyways, i plan on bringing my car in to the local meineke garage in englewood, nj - that's right, MEINEKE. the mechanic there, charlie, told me that they are one of the first garages in the bergen county area to have a mandrel bending machine. so they're going to chop off my resonator and replace it with the glasspack, and also install my exhaust can for $50 labor charges. however, they are charging me another $50 for a section of B-piping that he said needs replacing b/c my exhaust has been 'crimped' on to the pipe. so all in all, $100 for parts and labor at meineke and $117 for all the summit racing parts, shipped, for a grand total of $217.
it will obviously cost you more to purchase the rest of the piping and have them mandrel bent, but i'm sure he can work something out for you. the only reason i'm not getting additional piping is b/c my car has the pacesetter cat back system with all mandrel bent 2 1/4in piping.
anyways, i'll post some followups as soon as the exhaust is installed.
btw, if you want to check out the tip that i purchased, go here http://www.se-r.net/header_exhaust/stillen_vs_borla.html, and look at the picture of the borla exhaust that they tested. the tip that i purchased is the same as that one.
