Yep, dropped it alright smashed into all those little safety glass pieces. Anyone know where the best place to look for a new one would be? (apart from the obvious Nissan spare parts)

That's no good, have you rung around some nissan wreckers? Even if you find some of a different colour, you should be able to swap the glass over. Here is an exploded diagram of how they come apart that might come in handy:
