room ----- room -----room. what could cuase this??? xchecked the timing and set it as close as I could with out a timing light. and it still does it, unplug the crank ange sensor and rururururururoom. but won't start please help I don't know what else to check. later Jason

borrow a timing light and set the timing. If it is too far advanced, the cyl will fire way before TDC and try to turn the crank backwards against the direction the starter is turning.

You're saying it turns over properly with the crank angle sensor unplugged? This would verify the above since the injectors nor spark is not activated when you unplug the sensor.

You hear this a lot with guys with 'suped up' V8's with waay too far advanced timing when they start.

My 240SX does this too occasionally with mildly advanced timing.

it fixed now, I set the timing, the maks on the cranck weren't right, and the battery was not grounding out . Later Jason
