Some people were telling me online the other day that Nissan has a 20 valve motor!! If this is true, which I doubt, what the heck is it?

Yes, It's a VE as opposed to a DE.
Do yourself a favor and go here. you'll find everything you need.

Actually, you can't even search for 5 valve! I know how to search and couldn't find anything much, even on the faqs! I'm also assuming this head won't fit on any DE block?

Again, more information that you can find on your own.

Search for these words: DE VE HEAD

it's not called a 5 valve, it's called a 20v. that's why you can't find anything. try again

It's not a 5 valve per cyliinder motor, only 4. 20V does not mean 20 valve.

'Some people' have no idea what they're talking about. It's a 20v (with 4 valves/cylinder), which is a newer version of the SR20VE. There are very few of them in the US, maybe 2 or 3 as far as anyone on the forum knows.

There is a 20 valve sr20ve. It has 5 valves per cyl. I do know what I am talking about. It has flyby throttle system and are pretty rare, let alone expensive. Where's andreas when you need em...

I think you are incorrect, and you're referring to the 20v which is drive by wire, but it's a 16valve motor. One of us is going to owe the other a drink at the convention, and it's going to be YOU.

some noob asks this every other week in the VE section - 20V does not stand for 20 valves, the 20V is a 16 valve VE w/ drive by wire, a tubular header (which the HS gen6 is based off of), etc., etc.

just do a quickie search in the VE section to verify what I'm saying

toilet water (soiled) and its 22 valve motor, **** cylinders 1 and 4 have 6 valves! 1 intake 5 exhaust. sick as fuckk...

im not clowning though, i think for awhile most of us figured the 20v standed for 20 valves, i mean it seems right **** like the 4ag 20 valve <bad ass motor) but no andreas as always cleared that one up for us realll quick! i miss my ve.. cleanest motor ive ever owned besides my new motor, but it had engine work done, so it was cleaned.

No, then it will seem like it takes forever to get to redline.
You need to use VTEC fluid only.
VTEC = Very Tall Engine Coolant.
Good luck finding it though, it's very rare and expensive!

I have 2 20V 204 hp motors and 1 SR20VET in my possesion. The VET is mine and the 20V in my car is mine and the other 20V is in the prosses of being turbo charged for a friend of mine. I have pulled down the motor completly and know eveything there is to know about the motor. The 20V and VET have the same head which is diffrent from the other 3 SR16VE N1 200 hp, SR16VE 175 hp motor and the 189 hp motor.

The 20V head is far superior to the other heads as far as detonation point is higher and the head flow is a little bett up by the inj.

Oh it is a 4 valve head
