sorry jimr, i just had to man. that shot in your sig was awesome. i didn't get enough light though. :(
Monsoon 02-25-2002, 10:54 AM ok, 70+ people have looked at this page, but no one replies? how rude! ;)
kjopi -sleeper- 02-25-2002, 11:08 AM nice.....gotta love the new rims on a classic
Cooper91SE-R 02-25-2002, 01:34 PM Nothing better then a CLEAN Classic.
Very nice man.
metro_se-r 02-25-2002, 02:42 PM Whats with every B13 and Egg owner's obsession with B14 rims? Havn't you guys ever heard of the aftermarket?
MEclassic 02-25-2002, 03:23 PM Yea, but we just love the sleeper concept... 15" wheels look a little better, improve handling a bit, and *dramatically* improve the selection of high-performance tires compared to the stock 14"s. The B14 wheels can be had affordably, and look like they could easily be stock to the unsuspecting... a perfect upgrade for a sleeper from the factory like the SE-R.
That said, I'd rather have rotas since they're cheap and a lot lighter;) .

hrm, i could get some b14's in awesome shape with brand new tires for $500, or i could get brand new 15" wheels of relatively light weight and new tires for, what, $600-$700? on top of saving money, i'm keeping it in the family and it looks good. i see nothing wrong with it. :)
of course my car will see boost before it sees b14's (hint hint?). ;)
SE-R Newbie 02-25-2002, 09:04 PM Is the car lowered or is that stock height?
SE-R Newbie
Monsoon 02-26-2002, 09:06 PM nope it hasn't been lowered. :)
SE-R Newbie 02-26-2002, 10:03 PM How much has your dad's car been lowered? I am trying to get a idea on what my classic will look like when I lower my car 1.2 or 1.3 inches.
SE-R Newbie

SE-R Newbie
it hasn't been lowered. sorry i can't help you there, but there are a lot of people here with shots of their cars lowered, so just look around and you'll find some. :)
Looks like you've applied some on-the-job training. ;)
Last week I spent an afternoon hand waxing my car with the Smurf blue Zymol, and Aztec Red never looked so good (http://www.ipa.net/~pmthomp/jimr/forums/wax_on.jpg).
94loport 03-06-2002, 04:14 AM 1. What exhaust is that you're running?
2. It's very clean, but I prefer your black SE-R w/ NX rims.
Monsoon 03-06-2002, 02:43 PM 1) the exhaust that my dad is running is a magnaflow muffler. it doesn't have a name, just some long part number that i forgot. it isn't that loud at all, but it rattles a lot and sounds tinny sometimes. it needs a resonater of some sort.
2) that car is long gone. poor thing was totalled again. :(

...but its spirit lives on...;). My classic now has NX alloys. (Will post pics when I get a digital cam) Thanks for the inspiration!
Monsoon 03-07-2002, 08:27 PM yeah, i suppose her spirit lives on. i am, more than likely, going to transfer the nx wheels onto my se-r and put some falken azenis's for tires on them. that way i know i have grip when i autocross. :D
