You may need to reset the base idle and timing.

thanks bryan...hmmm...well, there are 4 hoses that connected to the stock air filter...but on my intake pipe, there are only 3 holes to plug into...there is another hose that is not connected to anything so i just put a small air breather at the end of it just so nothing will get into the hose...could that be the problem? I just installed the intake yesterday and it ran great...but today it suddenly decided to have this problem when i pulled up at a red light and started acting this way the whole night...thanks for the input!!!

Does it happen with the A/C on? I've seen the idle air control valve cause a problem similar to you problem.

well, everything seems to be fine now...all i did was set the idle as high as it will go and then set it back at 750...after that, everything was back to normal...so everything's cool now...thanks everyone!!! i need my rear struts replaced, anybody have recommendations??? they're squeeking pretty bad on dips. thanks!

the general consensous around here is that the best value in a high performance strut is the KYB AGX adjustable, they run somewhere in the neighborhood of $400/set
