Hey everyone I'm trying to remove then replace the EGR solenoid valve, it has a male to femele plastic connector and I can't seem to find where it needs to be depressed. The solenoid valve is located on the back side of the engine near the fire wall and is hard to get at. I have so far been able to remove the screw that holds it to a mounting bracket. Now all that holds it to the engine is the three short hoses that are attacthed to the selonoid valve and the connector I have mentioned. If anyone out there knows of a way to remove this. Please chime in. Your assistance would be Greatly Appreciated!!!!!!!!!

I thought it was one piece. You unscrewed it from the block, now remove the hoses and pull the hole thing out. It was a year ago when I did this, so I don't remember exactly what I did.
Look at the new piece to figure out how it attaches.

My problem specificly, is detaching the connector or harness from the solenoid valve. I can't seem to figure out what needs to be depressed or released without breaking it. The location of this valve is very tight I don't have much leverage. I have realeased the bracket and pulled the hoses. I just can't get this valve detached...................

I got it out....I bought the wrong part, There was a metel clip that held the connector in place. I finally figured it out. It appears that though the part I bought and the solenoid valve on the car look the same they differ at the connector. I will order another one tomorrow. THANX for the assistance.:D
