I am looking for some head bolts. I was looking at ARP website but they dont make anymore the sr20de. Does anyone make a metal headgasket for the DET? Thanks

Go for the GTiR bolts, and the GReddy metal head gasket, if you need it. FYI, a lot of the stock motored turbo SE-Rs that make 350+ HP such as Jay Hassinger's old SE-R, or Ryan Besterwich's SE-R, are using stock head gaskets. I would say only go to a metal gasket if you're going to be over 400 HP. Also, you can get both the GTiR bolts and the GReddy gasket from Jim Wolf.

I was under the impression that the GTiR head bolts were *ENTIRELY* different than the SR20DE and Bluebird SR20DET head bolts?:confused:

I know Jim banach was having one hell of a time finding head bolts for his GTiR since they were different? I know Tomei sells some, but they are for the Silvia SR20DET/SR20DE/BB SR20DET.

Cometic, APEXi, Greddy, and HKS all make metal headgaskets for the SR20. You may want to look for an alternative route than JWT as they sell their HKS Meatal Headgasket for $300.00!:eek:

yeah louis i was having a very hard time. but i found out from jun that the gti-r motors come with 12mm head bolts and the bb's and us sr20's have 11.5 mm bolts. jun sent me the 11.5's and i still have them in my room. if your looking for head bolts for the gti-r call jun and tell them you need the 12 mm head bolts. otherwise i can sell you the 11.5 jun head bolts i have in my room for what i paid for+ you pay shipping.

Jun head bolts? HOw much? Were can I get a headgasket for a good price?

I am not sure if you even need head bolts! I am still running the factory head studs! I know Ben B. ran the factory head studs on his 524 hp motor and never had a problem!

SO I should be good on the head bolts? How about the head gasket?

Like Zak said, the stock headgasket is good up to 400 whp! If you are looking for more than you should consider a metal headgasket!

I want to be pushing over 400 hp+....were is a place to get one? I just want to do my motor half ass.....
