Why is the 5th gear popout thread closed?

Being the owner of a '90 Miata with the dreaded crank keyway flaw, I happen to agree that it's a hopeless cause.

I realize this board is "owned" - but the beautiful thing about these discussion forums is ... the discussions. If the moderator happens to agree that it's a hopeless cause - fine - post it - but don't decide for the rest of us.

This is the second time that this has been posted on this forum.
I think it's been posted a couple of times before in the General SR20DE forum. And then there's the 5th gear pop-out poll on the SR20DE.net web site.

There is nothing to be gained by making a poll about a well documented problem.

If you have 5th gear pop-out or any transmission problem. You need to have it rebuilt. Have a high hp turbo motor? Have the gears cryo'd. Drag race? Have the case welded.

But don't start another poll.
