i put this in general so more people will see it. possibly when this thread is dead it can be switched over to the ve section.

so heres the dilema. jwt does not have ve springs in stock. wont have them for a few months possibly a month or two into the new year. you guys know their not very straight forward. so my build up has grinded to a hault. the head needs to be sent out to be ported and polished and give a 3 angle valve job and have the the better springs installed.

so the question is can i run n1 springs with the jwt cams ? and can i run n1 springs with the current 20ve cams until i install the jwt cams. on this bottom end i only plan to see 8k tops. being that its a de bottom end with a 4 weight crank. so any info advice from any of you sr20 gurus would be great.

down the road i plan on building 2.2 bottom end 8 counter weight crank with light weight rods and very high compression. more than likely then i will run jwt springs if they are needed. but for now i wanna know if i can use the n1 springs.

just cause i feel like throwing it in there my 16ve tranny will be here in a hour or so ; p.

i think only jwt could answer your question. Ive been down this road and unless jwt will give up their spring rates it's going to be an uphill battle.

on another note let me know when you order your N1 springs if you do we can order them together

yeah being that i couldnt even get a guesstimate for avaliability on springs i highly doubt there gonna give me the rates. thats why i need to know if i can run n1 springs. its a shot in the dark i know. ill prolly be forced to wait it out. in the meantime maybe ill just install a act clutch and lw flywheel along with the 16ve tranny.

Didn't Miko make a post awhile back about comp valve springs working in a VE? Also have you tried to see if tomei or JUN makes valve springs for the VE as well?
