heyyy, so im pretty tickled...i just got a check from the insurance company for $1,367 yesterday for my accident, and i can fix it for like 200 bucks! (hood, bumper) so it looks like the turbo project is gonna be coming sooner than i thought! here is a list of what i have so far..

- maxima maf
- GTIR ecu
- Big FMIC (FNSIKSER) and greddy type rs BOV
- JGY 6 puck
- Walbro 255
- 444 injectors (GTIR)
- custom t3 turbo manifold (sale pending)

i want to go with a t3/t4 setup, so i basically want to know what i have already that i can use (gtir ecu?) and what i should discard for something else (444's to msd's 50's?) also, safc vs. e-manage? im just feeling stuck on what i have left to buy to make everything work! i dont want to leave anything out so that when i eventually tackle this, its done right and i dont have crap missing... i have done plenty of searching on this stuff, i just want an opinion from other people on exactly what i should do and should stay away from. thanks a lot, justin...

If you're looking at a t3t04e setup, your going to need more than 444's @ 3-bar. That will only handle 310whp just about. If you're going to boost a T3 to 300whp, your going to have a craptacular spool time for the same whp that can be produced by a gti-r T28 turbo, which is a great match to what you have already. So my suggestion, dump the maxima maf and get a gti-r maf, and run a simple t28 setup.

ok thanks for your input dave! im aiming for 350ish WHP once i build a new bottom end next summer, so for now i just want to run low boost until i get there. would it be a good idea to invest in a cometic head gasket on this motor? i dont plan on running any more then 10-11 IBS. also, safc or e-manage? safc is cheaper, but is it worth the extra money to go with the e-manage? thanks, justin..

i'd have to agree with dave.. *** u pretty much have a gtir setup already. u'll end up saving a butt load of money if u get a t28 *** it is internally wg'd. all u need is a gtir t28, manifold and i/c piping($100 custom made). u'll also need a fpr($100), fp gauge($50), mbc($20) and u can be on ur way. AND u'll probably have lil money left to spare for small essential stuff
