I'm wondering what the differences are between these two years?

2 things i know of.

gauges are different, the speedo only goes up to 140 not 150.
tach and speedo are on different sides

that grey mid-molding is available in body color not that basic grey

I think that airbags are also standard on the 93 NX and not available on the 92.

The other stuff said is correct, and to add:

in Canada, anyway, t-tops became standard for 1993

1993 cars have really crazy-looking striped seats :)

Oh yeah, the 1993's interior looks like crap, I forgot. I have that striped interior and it makes me cringe everytime I look at it.

Airbags were standard in american NX2000 for both years

I'm not sure if the airbag is standard on the 92. But I have a 92 and it does have an airbag from the factory.

Airbags weren't standard on Canadian NX2000s until 1993 though.

My 1992 doesn't have an airbag.

Or t-roofs either, for that matter...

They're options/upgrades.

No - not stock or an option. Only came on the 1600's.

If it's not written "SRS Airbag" on my steering wheel, does it mean that I don't have an airbag? Here's a picture of my steering wheel: http://www.dromadaire.com/nx2000/pics

That looks like a non-airbag wheel.

He's right. That is a non-air bag wheel. Are you from Canada? All the US spec'd NX's had airbags. I like the non-airbag wheel better. Not as bulky. But then again, it has no airbag.

Yes, he's in Canada as well.

I have to say it. I looked at your dyno charts on your page:

And your numbers are unusually low. I would check your timing, I think it might be retarded way too low or something.

For comparison, I didn't ever dyno my car when it was stock, but with a crappy 1st gen stillen header and a JWT intake, my car put out 131.8 @ the wheels, 118 torque (peak numbers).

Although I can't see the chart too well, I see a lot of jagged peaks. Uneven power delivery is usually traced back to spark.

So, I would change the plugs, wires, cap and rotor to OEM Nissan parts, check your base timing, and dyno the car again.

If your fuel filter hasn't be changed recently, that would be good to do as well.

I think you'll discover a lot of power.

Some people of Nissan Performance Club, based in Montreal, Canada, have adjusted their timing to 17 degrees and do a 0-60mph in 7.0s... I think that's very fast!

How would it cost? I'm putting a DET in my car in few weeks, but I would be curious to see what it can do!
