Got a question that I dont think I have ever heard an definite answer to or think has been addressed.

oh before I ask it, its turbo related for those thinking this should go in the off topic section. Okay, now you know how many of us have gone Turbo specifically running front mount intercoolers AND notching/hacking part or most of the front bumper beam support, well im wondering if any one has had an accident (or some parking attendant park the car Ferris Beuller style) and be stuck with the bill cause their afraid that the insurance company is going to try and say that because the bumper was notched/ hacked it led to the damage and then turning down the claim for repair. Now I guess what Im really asking is, are all the guys who are heavily modified driving their STREET car with a "play at your own risk" mentality. I always wonder about every street car I see in a mag like SCC or Turbo, if they were to get into an accident do they have a right to get their car repaired by insurance companies. Its bad enough that people who purchase new cars are afraid of putting on a "50 states legal, CARB apporved intake system" on their car because Mr. mechanic at Stealership says it voids warranty. So if there is a procedure to ensure that we have just as much right to insurance companies as OEM vehicles it would be helpful to know. Cause I personally dont want to think I should have to subscribe to this "play at your own risk" mentality.

there are insurance companies, and special types off insurance, my uncle has showcar insurance,on two of his cars. I'll try to get the company name.
