Do I need to let my ECU reprogram itself if I install a header? What about a CAI or POP charger? I was just wondering about the air/fuel ratios.

The ECU automatically makes adjustments whenever you add a new mod by the readings from the MAF.

There's really no reason, but if you really wanted to you can disconnect the battery power overnight and reconnect in the morning and the ECU will be reset.

nah, you don't have to. but resetting never hurt anything...'cept maybe having to reprogram the radio and clock. :D

I still have to try an experiment with ECU resetting. My girl's dad is a master mechanic at Saab and he had an issue w/ a customer's car not producing the power it should. Saab also has self-learning and adapting ECUs (albeit a little more complex than our ECUs), but basically they looked at everything, and saw it was ok. In the end, they tried resetting the ECU. They let it sit overnight and when they plugged it back in and started the car, they drove it hard after they got it to operating temp. Power issues were completely solved!

His reasoning was that when an ECU is reset, the first 5-10 minutes of driving the ECU is taking "baseline" data. So the wussier you drive it after an ECU reset, the wussier your car's ECU calibrations will be and vice versa.

I still got to try it on my own car, but it's a pretty interesting case.

Our ECUs have known to be a little kooky. I remember an old story from Jay H. when he had some wad of paper/tape jammed up in his intake tract and he didn't know about it for a couple weeks. Luckily he found it before any damage was done but when he removed it, he said his car had gained like 10hp! I trust his butt dyno a little more than I trust mine, but it still is another interesting case.

Couldn't hurt to try it yourself. YMMV.

If you had to do the o2 sensor mod on the midpipe I would suggest keeping the negative battery terminal off over night. I tried a lot of recommendations after doing my install with no success still that ugly PIECE OF FUCKING SHIT CEL LIGHT DAMN FUCK SHIT ASS CUNT SHIBBITY DOO WOP! in my face. Then I let it reset for overnight and all twas well :)

I'm a little angered by that.
