Hi all, First of all i wanna say the stock BB impressed me a lot when i first got the swap done, it pulled and screamed. Man just got to love that T25. Now all the other guys around my area are upgrading their hondas and be talking mad shit(don't if i can use that word but let me know if not, THANKS) I'm going to upgrade my little stocker (T25) with the Fmax stage 2 kit, that i'm hoping to enjoy. I have some question for you guys who have it or had it, do i need to upgrade the bottom and the head of the BB? If not, how much (safely) can i boost with stock internal until upgraded? If I need to build the motor what shall be done? I want to run in the low or mid 12s. What else is needed not to blow the motor up? (such as fuel rail, fuel pump, injectors, msd, etc...) and how much will this cost me? Also where can i take my car thats trustworthy to do the work? I'm located in Wisconsin.
I may have forgotten some other things to complete this but hopefully someone will help me out here.

Thanks,

mike

Where in Wisconsin do you live? I live in Milwaukee and there are a few shops I would recommend. Let me know where you live and I'll try to help.

12's are not that hard with a DET w/an F-Max Stage II. Louis was on the brink of 11's with that setup! If you're getting the Stage II setup, it should come with everything you need to get where you want to be. As far as max boost, I 've seen 20 psi on a stock DE with water injection!

Fmax stage 2 kit comes with everything but is it safe to run it on the stock BB DET pushing 20 lbs of boost? How much will it cost me to do this set up? (Fmax kit, and Internal Mods)

Thanks,

mike

the BB stock internals should hold up to about 450 WHP, not sure about the boost.

Louis ran 20 psi on the stock DET with no problems. Water injection is almost a must if you try to do this on a stock DE, though.

I am not sure about this statement!

The rods SHOULD be able to support 450 whp without any major problems, but the stock cast pistons are the weak link. DET or DE, the piston ring lands go bye bye due to the pressure within the cylinder. I took the car up to 22-23 psi on race gas, but had major sputtering problems due to ignition failure. I ran 18-19 psi on most of my dyno runs and runs at the track. The pistons are the 1st thing to give!

Well I have to agree with Louis as my det blew a ring. This is with a T28 pushing 15psi in 5 gear. My plugs were perfect, and there were no signs at all.
