I'm driving up to Tampa on Friday night so I'll be up for meeting on Saturday morning and heading out to Orlando. Where are you in Tampa, I'll be towards the North end of Dale Mabry near the BK(I think) where they always have the car shows...Maybe 5 miles north of Hillsborough

I'm up for it. I live in Brandon (hint hint... on the way towards Orlando.) =)

Hey guys any word on this caravan? I will be back from Japan on Friday and would like to go hang with the chefy saturday. It would be nice to have some peeps to ride with since I will have no co-pilot. I am in North Tampa almost to Van dyke

Aight, there looks like there are some people interested. The shin-dig starts at 8:30 am in O-town. I really don't want to leave at 6:30 am. Lets set up a time (if the majority wants to arrive in O-town at 8:30, then cool). The best bet is to find a good place off of I4 to meet at a certain time.

If we meet off of I4, then it will be REALLY easy to jump back on and be on the way... I'm bringing the wife and kids, so I will be dropping them off at her families home before I go to the dyno place.

I'm not from the area, but will be in Tampa Friday night. Someone who knows I4, choose a gas station or something where we can all meet and we'll go from there. Lets try not to be there before the roosters wake up, please.

I would have to say that it will be an exit on I-4 right off of I-75. This wil make it easy for both Brandon people and Tampa peeps since neither will have to back track at all. I will search for a good exit road that has some drive thru breakfast. Chefy will be so proud..lol

I live in Davie in broward county. About half an hour from North miami.

I think this started off as a caravan for the Tampa ppl to go to Orlando together.

As I see it, we should probably meet up at a McDonalds... there are 2 that I can think of that would work well. McDonalds you ask? Well, we've got to have something easy to find and something to do once we get there. It has bathrooms and a place to grab something to eat/drink before the trip.

There's one just west of I-75 on Hw60 in Brandon. About 4mins from I-4/I-75 crossing. This would be pretty easy for everyone to find as it's hard to miss the Hw60 exit.

The second choice would be one just pass the I-75/I-4 crossing... it's an exit on I-4. I can find out specificly which one it is. The downside to this one is that it may not be open as early and it's easier to miss the exit. I can investigate this more if anyone wants me to.

The one in Brandon is on Hw60 (aka Adamo Dr.). This is about 3 or 4 mins South of the I-4/I-75 crossing. It's on the West side of the I-75 overpass of Hw60. (About 1 block from the overpass). Real easy to find.

I like this choice best because like I said... it's easy to find. I mean, get off I-75 onto Hw60 and head West for a block. Not hard. =) It also is around other stores (such as Nissan of Brandon)... so if anyone needs to pick up anything else before the trip. We're not meeting way out in BFE.

Im down for the Golden Arches on I-75-Highway60.

I am cool with the mickey d's in brandon. What time do we want to meet? O town is like 50 minutes from Tampa, and I would like to sleep in some :rolleyes: . How about like 10 AM?

Well, for you... you could just take 60 the whole way over.... or the Crosstown would work too... or 275 for that matter.

If you take 60... just stay on it until you reach Brandon. Look for Hw301... go past it. Go past dealership row... keep going, it'll be on the South side. It's right before the I-75 overpass.

If you take the Crosstown.... stay on it until it ends into I-75. Take the Northbound I-75 ramp and get off at the first exit, which is Hw60. Make a left heading west on Hw60 (you'll go under the I-75 overpass) and its next to the Hooters on the South side of Hw60. About a block from the I-75 overpass.


If you take I-275... just take that until it hits I-4. Take I-4 East... towards Orlando. Get off on the I-75 exchange. Take I-75 going South. After about 4 minutes going South you'll hit the Brandon Exit. Get off going West... it's on the South side of Hw60 right next to the Hooters. You should easily be able to see it.

Well... 10am is kinda late. I'd like to sleep in as well, but they're starting the event at 8:30. If we all meet up at 10am, assuming we leave a little late (the way it usually works out)... we wouldn't be there until around 11:30-12:00.

I'd rather meet up around 8:00 or 8:30 so that there's no hurry to get over there and we can hang out a little at McDonalds if we want... or to wait for ppl who are running a little late... or to wait for ppl who need to pick something up in town before we go over.

Thomas, there is a caravan leaving from browad if you want to join them. It just so happens that I am going to be in Tampa visiting family so I'm leaving with the Tampa caravan. Either way, it should take you about 2-1/2 hours to get to Orlando from Broward via the T-pike. Check out the other threads to see what would work best for you.

BTW, I live in Miami but work in broward just off of the 17th street causeway.
