: Flow of Air in Turbo Engine? AznVirus 02-27-2002, 11:14 PM i know this may sound like an idiot question, but correct me if im wrong on the path the air takes in a turbo engine. filter/intake -> turbo -> intercooler -> engine -> turbo manifold -> exhaust a downpipe is when the path from the turbo is just routed to the exhuast right? :confused: SERprise In WV 02-28-2002, 01:30 AM A better wording of the airflow would be like this: Air filter-->MAF-->turbo-->intercooler-->throttle body-->cylinders-->turbo manifold-->exhaust side of turbo-->catalytic converter-->muffler--> The downpipe is simply the exhaust exit from the turbo, back to the catalytic converter. As you know, turbos are exhaust-driven, and all that exhaust just has to go somewhere. ;) Yellow4g63 02-28-2002, 03:46 AM slight error.
