From what info i have been able to dig up the saloon version of the P11 GT/Sri was fitted with a rear strut brace as standard, however the hatchback versions were'nt, does anybody have any idea why?
I would have thought the hatchback would have benefited more from a rear strut brace than the saloon because as far as I know a 5 door hatch flexes more than the eqivulent saloon.
The only reason I can think of is that a rear strut brace in the hatch would interfere with load space when the seats are folded down, which would be less of a problem in the saloon.
