: Engine Hesitation in turns

I've been having a wierd problem lately and I believe its fuel related. There is a fairly long and tight-sweeping right hand turn that I take home from my girlfriends place. At the exit of the turn-8 out of 10 times, the engine will hesitate and after bucking like an epileptic mule for about 10 yards it will regain its composure and continue on like nothing happened.
It doesn't seem to happen when I fill the tank to the cap just before. Is this a problem with the pickup point of the fuel pump? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

During race conditions I'll starve the pickup in turns with anything less than 1/4 tank of fuel. Experiment more with levels and get back to us.

I long right handers, I'll actually see my gas gauge drop a 1/4 tank and then come back up after I straighten out. It's probably from being too low on gas and the cornering Gs are pulling it away from the pickup.

I'll pay more attention to the fuel levels, and let you all know if I find anything out.

I would bet you're right. On an old car of mine (honduh) I suppose the fuel pickup was near the front of the tank. If I was in "gas light" territory and launched pretty hard, it would choke fuel and stutter/ stumble just as you described. I about got hit a few times pulling out in traffic!
