I am going to install some cams and a 50 shot and it is about that time to change the clutch. It has 100k on it and I was wondering what would be a good clutch for a daily drive but that would hold the power all the time. I am also wondering where I could pick up a Fidanza flywheel for cheep. Any help would be appreciated.

I doubt your going to find a Fidanza flywheel cheap. I was going to buy one until I added it all up. I ended up buying a OS Giken clutch kit. it came with the lightweight chromoly flywheel as part of the kit. I paid about $680 total including shipping and tax.

I don't remeber where I read it but someone said they go for about $325. How much does your flywheel weigh anyways? And what kind of clutch is that anyways?

OS Giken is a Japanese aftermarket parts company. They even make a 3.0L conversion for the GTR. I will find a link to some of the products and post it. The flywheel is about 2/3's the weight of the stock unit. They make some damn strong clutches and the best part is I can always rebuild the damn thing rather then tossing it out when it gets worn out. The rebuild parts are dirt cheap.

So the flywheel weigh in at about 12 lbs. and it has replaceable pads just like the fidanza. I would like to see that site if you have it available. Anyways I see myself spending like $700 on a flywheel and clutch. I just want to spend it wisely.

cams + nitrous = bad
make sure it isn't a very aggressive, or you're going to run into some problems (eg - nitrous backfires thru intake :D )

I take it that you got your flywheel from them. How is the throttle response with such a lightweight flywheel an what clutch are you using? And what aplication(how is you car set-up)?

I got my ACT HD PP with a street Disk from Isidro at http://www.highperformanceonline.com 1-800 868-7174. He gave me a great price and I had the clutch about 3 days after I ordered it. So far I really like the clutch, today I finished the breakend period. I was able to grab 2nd and 3rd pretty easily, couldn't do it with my stock clutch but it did have 114,000 miles on it. I will let you know how it stands up to a 55 shot( I should be at the track next weekend), all my stock clutch would do is slip. From what I read the HD PP is alot more streetable than the XT PP. The HD PP with street disk can handle 241 lb/ft of torque, this should be plenty good for your setup. My pedal was very stiff at first but it seems to be getting easier or I am just getting use to it. The HD PP is roughly 45% stiffer than stock and the XT PP is roughly 95% stiffer than stock.
